Drive-in racks are one of the commonly used racks in warehouses. Since the forklift aisle between each row of racks is eliminated, the storage capacity is greatly improved, which is almost twice that of ordinary pallet racks. Compared with pallet racks, the warehouse utilization rate can reach about 80%. Drive-in shelves are widely used in wholesale, refrigeration, food and other industries.

In the process of using drive-in racks, the following issues should be paid attention to:

1. Among all kinds of storage shelves, the stability of the embedded shelf system is relatively weak, and the shelf should not be too high, generally within 10m. In addition, fastening devices should be provided.

2. Due to the first-in, first-out requirement of drive-in racks, it is not suitable for storing small batches and multi-variety goods.

3. The choice of forklift is limited. Forklifts with small width and good vertical stability are usually required.

4. The total depth of the racks near the wall area is designed to be no more than 7 pallet positions at most, and the total depth of the racks that can be accessed from both sides in the middle area is usually no more than 9 pallet positions to improve the efficiency and reliability of forklift access.

5. The single batch of pallet goods should not be too large or too heavy. In general, the weight should be controlled within 1500kg, and the pallet span should not be greater than 1.5m.
